Uzbekistan and UK discuss providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan
Meetings were held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Institute for Strategic and Interregional Studies under the President of Uzbekistan with a delegation from the UK Foreign Office headed by Nicola Righini, the Head of External and Multilateral Relations at the Afghanistan Department.

The talks focused on international cooperation in providing humanitarian assistance to Afghanistan and aiding in the recovery of the country's economy.
British diplomats were briefed on the key aspects of Uzbekistan's foreign policy towards Afghanistan and its efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
Representatives from the UK Foreign Office acknowledged that London and Tashkent share a common vision and similar approaches to establishing long-term peace in Afghanistan.
The parties agreed to continue constructive interactions on Afghan issues and to consolidate the efforts of the international community in normalizing the situation in the neighboring country.
