Foreign Internet companies paid taxes worth about 70 billion soums in 1 year
In Uzbekistan, Meta, Google and Apple are the top three in the list of the highest tax payers.
According to the Tax Committee, 56 foreign companies providing electronic services in Uzbekistan paid 69.8 billion soums in taxes in 2023. This is 1.5 times more than in the same period last year.
96.7% of the paid taxes are accounted for by 10 foreign companies providing electronic services.
1. Meta – 26.4 billion soums;
2. Google – 20.3 billion soums;
3. Apple – 12.9 billion soums;
4. Amazon – 2.2 billion soums;
5. Vooking.som – 1.6 billion soms;
6. Netflix – 1.2 billion soums;
7. Xsolla – 816.1 million soums;
8. Zoom – 763.3 million soums;
9. Yandex – 690.4 million soums;
10. Adobe Systems – 436.9 million soums.
Foreign legal entities providing electronic services submit tax reports and pay taxes no later than the 20th day of the month following the previous quarter.
It should be recalled that in 9 months of last year, we reported that foreign internet companies paid more than 48 billion soums in taxes in Uzbekistan.
