Uzbekistan increased export of textile products in January - Statistics Agency
In January of the current year, Uzbekistan's textile exports increased by 14.4% compared to the corresponding period of 2023.
According to the Statistics Agency, in January 2024, Uzbekistan exported textile products worth $250.2 million. This figure constitutes 22.4% of the total export volume, which is 14.4% higher than last year.
In the structure of the exported textiles, finished textile goods accounted for the largest share (37.4%), followed closely by yarn (48.5%). In January 2024, 438 kinds of textile products were exported to 47 countries worldwide.
The export composition included:
- Yarn – $121.4 million
- Finished textile goods – $93.6 million
- Knitted fabric – $18 million
- Fabrics – $13.7 million
- Hosiery – $3.5 million
