A woman who dumped 4-5 days old babies in a bag was captured by a surveillance camera in an apartment building. She was wearing a mask and a scarf to hide her face. A local nurse saw the girls and gave them first aid.
Newborn twins were abandoned on the sidewalk of the 75th multi-storey building, Karasuv block, Samarkand city, the “Zamon” program reported.
Babies in bags were seen by a nurse of a private clinic on the 1st floor of an apartment building and provided first aid.
“When I was going out to see the patients, they were standing on the pavement. I didn’t pay attention at first. Then I heard a crying voice and saw movement of arms. I came to see what it was and called my doctor. My doctor came,” the nurse said.
The twin girls were left on the pavement by a woman. Her actions were recorded by a surveillance camera in an apartment building. The woman was wearing a mask and wrapped in a scarf.
“First of all, we checked the condition of the children, took them to the outpatient room and checked their heartbeats. Both twins are healthy. Then we turned to the DIA. Police officers came and studied the situation. We assume that the children’s mother is a resident of this block. The reason is that she knew there was a clinic here,” the head of the private clinic Bakhriddin Doniyorov said.
According to Dilshod Rakhmonov, the deputy chief physician of the Children’s Multidisciplinary Medical Center of Samarkand region, the condition of the twins is good now, they are being fully monitored and cared for.
“One of the babies weighs 2.3 kg, the other 2.4 kg. They underwent complete clinical and laboratory tests at our center. The children are healthy, no other defects or pathological conditions were detected. Currently, the twins are being cared for in the neonatology department of our center. According to the opinion of our experts and the tests conducted, the twins were born 4-5 days ago,” Dilshod Rakhmonov said.
It is noted that the identity of the woman who abandoned the children is not yet known.
