Canadian Ambassador commutes by bus, citing convenience and environmental benefits
Today marks a Car-Free Day in Uzbekistan, an initiative aimed at raising public awareness of the country's environmental challenges, particularly regarding gas emissions from cars.
In response to this initiative, Canadian Ambassador Alan Hamson chose to take the bus to work.
While commuting, he expressed in Uzbek his appreciation for public transportation and its role in alleviating air pollution.
"I enjoy taking the bus. It is convenient, inexpensive, and moreover, it helps reduce air pollution," he stated.
