Tender for designing high-speed Hyundai Rotem train announced in Uzbekistan
Uzbekistan Railways invited designers to take part in the competition for the design of the Hyundai Rotem high-speed train.

To participate in the competition, one needs to create an original and attractive exterior of an electric train.
The winner will receive a prize of 100 million soums, and besides his own design, the initials of its author will also be depicted on the train.
Conditions of the competition:
• providing no more than two design options;
• sending work to dizayn-nsr@uzrailway.uz until May 12, 2024.
• in the topic of the letter, one needs to indicate: “Competition for the design of the Hyundai Rotem train”;
• indicating the contact details (name, patronymic, surname, phone number).

It should be recalled that the Hyundai Rotem high-speed electric train is planned to be purchased, in particular, for the Tashkent and Khiva railway communication, it is planned to purchase. The train consists of 7 wagons, accommodates 351 passengers and can develop speeds up to 250 km/h.
In general, the presidential decree of October 10, 2023 provides for the purchase of 6 Hyundai Rotem trains. For this, in November it was planned to attract a loan of the Fund for Economic Development and Cooperation of the Republic of Korea (EDCF) for €185 million.
