Working groups of Uzbek-Kyrgyz government delegations meet in Namangan to discuss demarcation issues
On April 15–20, the next meeting of the working groups of the government delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the Joint Demarcation Commission took place in the city of Namangan.
During the meeting, issues of demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border were discussed. Field surveys were carried out, during which the tasks for moving the delimitation line of the interstate border to the area were clarified.
The negotiations took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.
Following the event, a corresponding protocol was signed.
The next meeting of the working groups will take place in Kyrgyzstan.
It should be recalled that the previous meeting of the working groups was held on March 4-8 in the Kyrgyz city of Osh. The parties summed up the work in 2023 and approved a schedule of meetings for 2024, discussed issues of demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border, the creation of demarcation maps and a special (general) geodetic network.
