Volkswagen and Volvo invite citizens of Uzbekistan to work in Slovakia
Car manufacturers Volkswagen and Volvo in Slovakia are inviting citizens of Uzbekistan to work, the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction reports.
The Volkswagen company invites you to the production of premium cars, cable assemblies, chassis and interiors, installation work, diagnostics and testing of cars. Every month the company hires up to 240 specialists aged 18 to 45 years.
The work consists of three shifts. Candidates are required to have knowledge of the Russian language at a communicative level. Salaries vary between 1,200-1,600 euros per month.
Volvo is recruiting up to 150 truck drivers aged 18-45 every month.
In addition to knowledge of the Russian language, a driver's license of categories C and E is required. The salary is 1,700-2,400 euros per month.
The Ministry of Employment and the Agency for External Labor Migration will soon publish a registration form.
In February 2023, Volkswagen Slovakia discussed with the Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Austria a plan to recruit citizens of the republic. The company estimated the need for workers to expand production at 1,500 people.
In accordance with a presidential decree, labor migrants will be compensated for the costs associated with obtaining professional and language certificates. Those who find themselves in difficulty abroad will be provided with assistance.
