Fee for temporary import of foreign cars leveled for all cars

The innovation establishes a single fee for all cars, regardless of their engine power.

In Uzbekistan, the procedure for calculating the fee for the temporary import of cars across the customs border has been changed. The corresponding joint resolution was adopted by the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to the document, now after the expiration of the full exemption from customs duties and taxes, temporary import of foreign cars for a period of more than 90 days during the year is possible.

In this case, it is necessary to pay a fee of 1 BCA for each day the export period is exceeded.

It is worth noting that the innovation establishes a single fee for all cars, regardless of their engine power.

It should be recalled that previously a payment was made in the amount of 0.7% of the BCA for each horsepower of the vehicle for each overdue day of removal.

The document came into force on May 2, 2024.
