Major jewelry smuggling attempt foiled at Tashkent border post
Jewelry items worth an estimated 1 billion 770 million UZS were discovered covertly hidden inside the bus's spare wheel.

The detection took place at the "Gishtkuprik" border customs post in the Tashkent region, conducted by law enforcement officers.
During the operation, a bus entering Uzbekistan was subjected to customs inspection, as reported by the press service of the Tashkent Regional Customs Administration.
As a result of the thorough inspection, approximately 59 kg of silver jewelry, covertly hidden inside the bus's spare wheel with an estimated value of 1 billion 770 million UZS, was discovered.
