Uzbekistan sees higher birth rates of boys than girls in January-April 2024
The Statistics Agency has provided information about birth rates for the past four months of 2024.
According to the agency, during the reporting period, 274.5 thousand live births were registered in Uzbekistan.
Reportedly, 142.4 thousand of the newborns were boys and 132.1 thousand were girls.
So, over the past four months, 10.3 thousand more male babies were born than females.
