Foreign Ministers of Central Asia gather in Rome for consultations
The foreign ministers of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan held consultations in Rome, where they discussed cooperation within multilateral structures and expanding interaction in various fields, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan reported.

“On the initiative of the Kazakh side, within the framework of the III Ministerial Conference “Central Asia – Italy”, consultations were held in Rome with the heads of foreign affairs departments of Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. During the meeting, the parties discussed issues of interaction within the framework of the format of consultative meetings of the heads of state of Central Asia,” the report reads.
The interlocutors emphasized the importance of further expanding cooperation in the political, trade-economic, investment, transit-transport and cultural-humanitarian spheres in the spirit of friendship and strategic partnership.
“The parties also discussed the prospects for interaction within the framework of multilateral structures and formats “Central Asia +”,” the press service explained.
