Uzbekistan received humanitarian aid shipments from 30 countries in 2023
In 2023, humanitarian aid shipments with a total value of 197 million 842 thousand dollars entered Uzbekistan. It was mainly sent from five countries.
In January-December 2023, humanitarian aid shipments from 30 countries with a total value of 197 million 842 thousand dollars arrived in Uzbekistan.
According to the report of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the main share of humanitarian aid is contributed by the following countries:
• Germany ($71 million 379.4 thousand or 36% of aid);
• China (27 million 467.6 thousand dollars, 13.9%);
• USA (23 million 234.2 thousand dollars, 11.8%);
• Belgium (22 million 620.2 thousand dollars, 11.4%);
• Switzerland (20 million 757.8 thousand dollars, 10.5%).
Incoming humanitarian aid is directed in the following sectors:
• healthcare (169 million 233.5 thousand dollars);
• social sphere (1 million 244.4 thousand dollars);
• ecology and environment protection ($943,200);
• education ($247.2 thousand).
Share of aid by humanitarian aid receiving organizations:
• 58.2% to the Sanitary-epidemiological peace and public health service under the Ministry of Health;
• 17.2% to the unitary enterprise “Supply and Logistics Service”;
• 10.5% to the Scientific Research Institute of Hematology;
• 11.2% to the international charity fund “For a healthy generation”.
