Deputy governor of Tashkent city for tourism dismissed
The President criticized the Tashkent city administration for the lack of a tourism initiative. Deputy governor for tourism Fakhriddin Davrukov, who worked in this position for 3 years, was fired. The Prime Minister has been instructed to evaluate the work of each deputy governor for tourism.

Deputy governor of Tashkent for tourism Fakhriddin Davrukov was fired. This was announced at a meeting chaired by the President on tourism issues.
“In recent years, such tourist attractions as Tashkent City, Tashkent Mall, and Magic City have been built in the capital. Every year these complexes are visited by more than 4 million people, more than 35% of them are foreign tourists.
However, it was criticized that the capital’s administration does not come up with new proposals and initiatives.
Therefore, the deputy governor of the city of Tashkent for tourism F. Davrukov was relieved of his post. The Prime Minister has been instructed to evaluate the work of each vice-governor for tourism,” the presidential press service reported.
Fakhriddin Davrukov was appointed to this position in April 2021. Prior to that, he worked as deputy chairman of the tourism committee.
