Issues of launching direct flights between British Birmingham and Uzbek cities discussed in London
The Ambassador of Uzbekistan Ravshan Usmanov met with the director of aviation at the airport in the British city of Birmingham, Tom Screen.
Founded in 1939, Birmingham Airport is located 10 kilometers from the city center and is one of the UK’s busiest airports. According to available data, almost 11.5 million people used the airport’s service in 2023.
During the meeting, detailed information was presented about the tourism potential of Uzbekistan, the conditions created for domestic and foreign tourists and travel companies, tourism infrastructure, as well as reforms carried out in this area in our country.
During the conversation, the prospects for establishing air communications between the cities of Uzbekistan and Birmingham were discussed.
Tom Screen highly appreciated the measures being implemented in the field of tourism in Uzbekistan and expressed interest in establishing cooperation with the republic’s airlines in the field of passenger and cargo transportation.
Following the meeting, an agreement was reached to organize an online meeting of the parties to discuss issues in detail.
