South Korea eyes to build a high-tech hub with Uzbekistan
President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol expressed hope for joint construction with Uzbekistan of a high-tech hub in Central Asia and the creation of an innovative Silk Road of the 21st century, capable of leading humanity to a scientific and technological breakthrough.
The purpose of this is to strengthen cooperation in the field of research and development (R&D) and humanitarian exchanges in the field of advanced sciences and technologies, including ICT, semiconductors for artificial intelligence (AI).
Yoon Suk Yeol emphasized that their country was the first in the world to develop a national “digital textbook with AI”, which will be used in school education from 2025, allowing students to be taught according to their individual characteristics. He also noted that Korea actively supports training teachers to use digital technologies in the educational process.
As a leading country in the field of artificial intelligence and digital education, Korea has expressed its willingness to share with Uzbekistan examples of innovation integrated into the learning process and digital education models for joint work in the future.
