Railway repairs shift train departures to Toshkent-South station for one month
Most trains departing from the Toshkent-Central railway station will be suspended from July 15 to August 15, according to the Ministry of Transport. During this period, nearly all trains traveling through the Toshkent-Central (Northern) station will instead depart from the Toshkent-South station.
This change is due to repair works being carried out on the railway between the Tukimachi and Toshkent Yulovchi stations. As a result, all passenger trains, except for those on the routes Almaty-Tashkent-Almaty, Tashkent-Novosibirsk-Tashkent, Tashkent-Samara-Tashkent, and intercity trains Tashkent-Khodjikent-Tashkent, will depart from the Toshkent-South station.
Specifically, high-speed electric trains such as Afrosiyob, Sharq, Nasaf, and passenger trains Tashkent-Andijan-Tashkent, Tashkent-Volgograd-Tashkent, and Dushanbe-Tashkent-Dushanbe will operate from the Toshkent-South station for the duration of the repairs.
To assist passengers, a free bus service will be available to transport passengers to the Toshkent-South station. This service is particularly for those who purchased tickets from the Toshkent-Central station ticket offices or who arrived at the Toshkent-Central station by mistake.
All ticket offices at both Toshkent-Central and Toshkent-South railway stations will operate around the clock. Additionally, tickets can be purchased electronically.
For more information and updates, passengers are advised to check with the Ministry of Transport.
