International airports in Uzbekistan operate normally despite global software glitches
According to Uzbekistan Airports, all aerodromes are currently continuing takeoff and landing procedures as usual. If there are any software issues in the passenger registration process, an alternative registration system will be offered.
Due to global malfunctions in the Windows operating system, flights are being canceled worldwide, airport operations are halted, and television broadcasts are experiencing interruptions.
In response to the situation, Uzbekistan Airports issued an official statement confirming that this situation has not affected international airports in Uzbekistan.
"At the moment, all aerodromes are continuing takeoff and landing procedures as usual. Should airlines encounter software issues during passenger registration, Uzbekistan Airports is ready to offer its alternative registration system," the press service stated.
The Uzbekistan Airports service reminded that flight status information can be obtained through the official website or by contacting the single call center at +99855 501 45 55.
For information, the issue with the operating system may be related to an error in the update from the CrowdStrike cybersecurity solutions provider. Users have reported seeing a "blue screen" on their Windows 10 devices.
