Competition Committee fines OFB for non-compliance with advertising laws
The Termez branch of Orient Finans Bank was fined by the Competition Committee for violating outdoor advertising laws.
According to the press service of the committee, during an inspection, it was found that the bank's branch did not have the necessary documents such as a passport, certificate, permit, and other legal documents required for installing advertising structures in front of the bank's office. Additionally, agreements with local authorities, which are a mandatory requirement, had not been signed.
The branch was held accountable for violating Articles 24 and 25 of the Law of the Republic of Uzbekistan "On Advertising," as well as the Regulations approved by Cabinet of Ministers Resolution No. 104 "On the Regulation of the Outdoor Advertising Market." These articles and regulations govern the procedure for placing outdoor advertising, including the mandatory obtaining of permits and the signing of agreements with the relevant authorities.
Following the investigation, an administrative case was initiated against the Orient Finans Bank branch. Consequently, the bank was fined for non-compliance with the established rules and requirements related to outdoor advertising.
