LUKOIL to appeal against Competition Committee's price manipulation decision
LUKOIL Overseas Supply and Trading Ltd. plans to appeal the decision made by the Competition Promotion and Consumer Protection Committee, which the agency issued in mid-July, the company’s press service told Kun.uz.
"LUKOIL Overseas Supply and Trading Ltd. expresses disagreement with the Committee's arguments and conclusions due to their contradiction with the antimonopoly legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Committee's decision will be appealed in accordance with the established legal procedure," the statement emphasizes.
Earlier, the Committee found LUKOIL guilty of price manipulation.
A special commission of the Committee determined that LUKOIL violated Uzbekistan's Law "On Competition" and the Cabinet of Ministers' provision "On the procedure for the sale of highly liquid and/or monopoly goods in exchange trading."
