Tashkent Metro sees significant increase in daily passenger numbers, reaching 724.5 thousand

In the first half of 2024, the Tashkent Metro transported 131.9 million passengers. The average daily transportation figure stands at 724.5 thousand passengers.

According to the Statistics Agency, in January-June 2024, the Tashkent Metro carried 131.9 million passengers (compared to 81 million in the same period last year).

In other words, an average of 724.5 thousand passengers were transported daily, representing an increase of 277.1 thousand passengers compared to the same period in 2023.

For reference, in January-December 2023, the Tashkent Metro transported an average of 445.9 thousand passengers per day.
