Paper insurance policies outlawed as Uzbekistan moves to digital system for all contracts
Starting from September 1, Uzbekistan will discontinue the practice of issuing insurance policies in paper form.
A corresponding presidential decree "On Comprehensive Measures for the Further Development of the Insurance Services Market" has been adopted.
Additionally, from September 1 of this year, the registration of insurance contracts (including reinsurance) for all types through the Unified Automated Information System and the issuance of insurance policies via this system will become mandatory. Otherwise, policies will be deemed invalid and this will be considered a serious violation of licensing requirements and conditions by the insurer.
The National Agency for Prospective Projects will maintain a rating of insurers based on the quality of the services they provide and publish this rating in the media.
