President Shavkat Mirziyoyev announced the “AI partner for 10,000 enterprises” program during a meeting with entrepreneurs.
The program will provide businesses with compensation covering half of their expenses for introducing AI solutions.
A first supercomputer cluster has already been launched at the Center for Digital Government Projects Management. Its computing capacity is expected to triple next year.
Businesses developing AI models for new products will be given free access to the supercomputer, while research and development costs will also be covered from the state budget.
Ready-to-use AI applications will additionally be made available on an open platform for entrepreneurs. At least $100 million will be allocated for the first stage of the program.
The government also plans to expand an approach previously tested in the textile industry to electrical engineering, construction materials and food production.
Under the expanded initiative, businesses in these sectors will receive compensation covering 50% of the cost of introducing automated management systems.
The measures are intended to accelerate the adoption of AI and automation in Uzbekistan’s private sector while reducing the costs associated with introducing new technologies.
