Uzbekistan’s transit cargo volume reaches 5.3 million tons, with rail transport leading
According to the Statistics Agency, in the period from January to June 2024, the volume of transit cargo transported through the territory of Uzbekistan (by road and rail) amounted to 5.3 million tons.
Of the total transit cargo, 4.1 million tons (77.9% of the total volume) were transported by rail.
The remaining 1.2 million tons (22.1% of the total volume) were transported by road.
