According to the department, a consumer from Karakalpakstan filed a complaint with the Committee that his Lacetti car, manufactured in 2023, caught fire less than 5 months after purchase. However, the manufacturer did not fix the problem in time.
It was also established that a similar incident occurred with a car of the same brand in the Navoi region.
“Considering the possibility of serious damage to the life and health of people, the Committee ordered the recall of 37 cars of this brand, manufactured at the same time, within 10 days for a technical inspection,” the Committee’s Telegram channel said.
The consumer who filed the complaint was provided with a new car of the same make, and a decision was made to pay a penalty in the amount of 1% of the car’s cost for each day of delay from the moment the consumer filed the claim.
