Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov heads Uzbekistan’s Chess Federation
Prime Minister Abdulla Aripov has been appointed as the new chairman of the Uzbekistan Chess Federation, replacing Alisher Sadullayev, who had held the position for the past two and a half years.

Alisher Sadullayev, who led the federation since May 2022, will now serve as the first deputy chairman under the new leadership of Prime Minister Aripov.
The change in leadership is seen as part of the ongoing efforts to further develop and promote chess in Uzbekistan, a sport that has seen significant growth in recent years.
The appointment of a high-ranking official like the Prime Minister underscores the government’s commitment to supporting the sport and ensuring Uzbekistan's continued success in international chess competitions.
