Uzbekistan imports $94 million worth of chocolate and cocoa products from 35 countries
Uzbekistan imported 32,000 tons of chocolate and cocoa products from 35 foreign countries during the first eight months of 2024, with a total value of $94 million, according to the Statistics Agency.
The volume of chocolate and cocoa product imports increased by 4,300 tons compared to the same period last year. Russia remained the largest supplier, accounting for the majority of imports, followed by several European and regional countries.
During the January-August period of 2024, Uzbekistan’s top suppliers of chocolate and cocoa products were:
• Russia – 22,600 tons
• Poland – 2,300 tons
• Netherlands – 1,300 tons
• Kazakhstan – 1,200 tons
• Turkey – 655 tons
• Germany – 320 tons
• France – 154 tons
• Italy – 135 tons
