The National Institute of Oncology in Hungary, which is the country’s largest institution dedicated to cancer treatment, has been a leading center for cancer research, treatment, epidemiology, and education for over half a century. The institute's research team has also developed Hungary's national cancer program.

Dr. Polgár expressed Hungary's readiness to establish long-term cooperation with Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Health, the Republican Oncology Center, and other specialized medical institutions. This strategic partnership aims to enhance health sector cooperation between Uzbekistan and Hungary.

Key areas of potential collaboration include organizing short-term training programs in Hungary for Uzbek oncologists, as well as hosting joint scientific-practical seminars and conferences focused on oncology.
