Saida Mirziyoyeva meets with visually impaired children at Tashkent Planetarium
Presidential Assistant Saida Mirziyoyeva met with visually impaired children from Samarkand at the Tashkent Planetarium as part of the "Ko‘ngil Ko‘zi" (The Eye of the Soul) project.

"I was overjoyed to see how many talented and truly creative individuals there are among them," Saida Mirziyoyeva wrote on her Telegram channel.
During the meeting, according to Mirziyoyeva, the children shared their creative works and later had the opportunity to "feel" the solar system using "Dot Pad" technology. "This fascinating experience proves that science is open and beneficial for everyone," she emphasized.
The "Ko‘ngil Ko‘zi" charity initiative began its operations in March 2019. Its purpose is to create conditions for the education and development of visually impaired and low-vision children, helping them integrate into society.
As part of the initiative, textbooks in Braille have been published; a computer center specialized for the needs of visually impaired and low-vision children has been opened; and the technical base of boarding schools has been developed. Several projects have been implemented to achieve these goals.
Notably, in December 2020, a campaign was launched under the "Ko‘ngil Ko‘zi" project to provide medical check-ups and treatment for all visually impaired and low-vision children—over 3,000—in specialized boarding schools across Uzbekistan. Saida Mirziyoyeva, the author of the project, announced in 2021 that 630 surgical procedures were conducted for 478 visually impaired and low-vision students in these specialized boarding schools as part of the campaign.
