Akylbek Japarov dismissed as Kyrgyzstan’s Prime Minister
Akylbek Japarov has been relieved of his duties as Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and Head of the Presidential Administration of Kyrgyzstan, according to reports from Kyrgyz media citing official sources.
President Sadyr Japarov reportedly signed the decree formalizing Akylbek Japarov's dismissal.
In his place, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Adylbek Kasymaliev has been appointed as Acting Chairman of the Cabinet and Head of the Presidential Administration.
Akylbek Japarov held the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet from June 1 to October 12, 2021, during which he also led the Ministry of Economy and Finance. On October 13, 2021, he was appointed Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers and simultaneously assumed leadership of the Presidential Administration.
