Uzbekistan exported $1.5 billion worth of fruits and vegetables in 2024 – Statistics Agency
Uzbekistan exported over 2 million tons of fruits and vegetables worth $1.5 billion in 2024, according to the State Statistics Agency. The country’s agricultural sector continues to be a key driver of its economy, with major trading partners including Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and China.
Russia emerged as the largest importer of Uzbek fruits and vegetables, receiving 815,100 tons valued at $632.9 million. Kazakhstan followed, importing 520,500 tons worth $189.8 million. Other significant buyers included:
- Kyrgyzstan: 151,700 tons ($57.9 million)
- China: 144,600 tons ($128.6 million)
- Pakistan: 124,700 tons ($192.3 million)
- Afghanistan: 67,600 tons ($124.4 million)
- Iraq: 32,900 tons ($13.4 million)
- Turkey: 28,200 tons ($48.3 million)
- Belarus: 22,600 tons ($20.3 million)
An additional 128,500 tons worth $141.7 million were exported to other countries.
