Shavkat Mirziyoyev hosts Lukoil delegation to discuss key energy initiatives
The President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, met with Vagit Alekperov, the founder of the Russian oil and gas company Lukoil, on January 30.
During the meeting, issues related to the implementation of Lukoil’s projects in Uzbekistan’s energy sector were discussed. This included geological exploration work, the development of promising hydrocarbon fields, infrastructure modernization, and the development of the retail oil products distribution system.
The plans to expand the company’s activities in Uzbekistan were also reviewed. Special attention was given to issues related to the training and employment of specialists, as well as the implementation of socially significant programs.
