Uzbekistan considering purchase of 1,000 Yutong buses for Tashkent
The acquisition of 1,000 new buses for Tashkent is under consideration, a subject raised during a recent meeting between officials from the Ministry of Transport and representatives of the Chinese company Yutong Bus.

Minister of Transport Ilkhom Makhkamov and Xu Peng, Vice President for International Marketing at Yutong Bus, also exchanged views during the meeting on the ongoing project to procure 200 electric buses.
Additionally, they addressed key issues related to modernizing the public transportation fleet as part of Uzbekistan’s broader efforts to improve its transit system.
Discussions also focused on facilitating better conditions for private entrepreneurs to purchase electric buses.
Minister Makhkamov underscored the importance of enhancing Yutong's service and maintenance support, given the growing number of the company’s buses and electric buses currently operating in Uzbekistan.
