Kyrgyzstan’s Asman Airlines is set to launch flights to Uzbekistan by the end of this year, according to TASS.
Manasbek Samidinov, head of the airline’s parent company, Airports of Kyrgyzstan, shared this update with the Russian news agency. He revealed that the carrier intends to purchase two Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft in 2026–2027 to support international flights.
“We are actively exploring the possibility of launching international routes to countries in the Middle East and Europe. Additionally, in 2025, we plan to start flights to Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan,” Samidinov stated.
The executive highlighted that in 2024, the company acquired three Dash 8-400 aircraft manufactured by Canada’s De Havilland. These planes are currently operating domestic routes within Kyrgyzstan, connecting Bishkek with Osh, Karakol, Talas, and Jalal-Abad.
In February 2024, another Kyrgyz airline, Tez Jet, received approval from Uzbekistan’s aviation authority, Uzaviation, to operate flights to Uzbekistan. Later that summer, reports indicated Tez Jet’s plans to launch Bishkek-Tashkent flights starting in September.
