The satellite will be assembled by young Uzbek engineers currently studying at Kyushu Institute of Technology in Japan.
In addition, SpaceX representatives expressed readiness to review Uzbekistan’s initial draft of its national space strategy document titled “Space Research and Technology – 2035” and provide recommendations for its further development.
During their visit, the Uzbek delegation also toured SpaceX’s facilities and observed the production processes of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle.
It is worth recalling that in October of last year, during the 75th International Astronautical Congress held in Milan, both SpaceX and Surrey Satellite Technology expressed their willingness to offer expert consultations in the development of Uzbekistan’s national space program.
