President signs decree approving 10% increase in public sector wages, pensions, and student stipends
President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has signed a decree mandating a 10% increase in the salaries of public sector employees, pensions, social allowances, and scholarships in Uzbekistan. The adjustment aims to “ensure that these payments keep pace with or exceed the inflation rate.”

From July 1, 2025, pensions and social allowances, including child benefits and financial aid for low-income families, will rise by 10%. The decree, titled “On Increasing Salaries, Pensions, Scholarships, and Allowances,” outlines the specific changes.
Adjusted minimum payment amounts:
- Minimum age-based pension: 918,000 UZS per month
- Minimum disability pension: 1,012,000 UZS per month
- Child benefits for low-income families:
- For each child under 3: 360,000 UZS/month
- For each child aged 3 to 18: 275,000 UZS/month
- Additional for the second child: 165,000 UZS/month
- Additional for the third and subsequent children: 110,000 UZS/month
- Monthly financial assistance for low-income families: 420,000 UZS
- Other types of pensions and allowances will be defined according to an official appendix.
From August 1, 2025:
- Salaries of public sector employees and scholarships will increase by 10%.
Revised base rates:
- Starting July 1, 2025, the base amount for pension calculation will be set at 471,000 UZS/month.
- From August 1, 2025:
- Minimum monthly wage: 1,271,000 UZS
- Base calculation unit (BCU): 412,000 UZS
Budget coverage
The additional costs arising from these increases will be financed by the State Budget and the Off-Budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Economy and Finance.
