Uzbekistan tops medal table at Asian Cadet Judo Cup in Kazakhstan
Uzbekistan secured first place in the overall team standings at the Asian Judo Cup for Cadets, held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, by winning a total of 29 medals.
According to the Ministry of Sports' press service, the tournament took place over two days and brought together nearly 500 judokas from nine countries across three continents. Athletes competed for medals in 16 weight categories – eight for boys and eight for girls.
The Uzbek national team claimed 8 gold, 10 silver, and 11 bronze medals, bringing their total to 29 and placing them at the top of the overall medal table.
Host nation Kazakhstan followed in second place with 5 gold, 4 silver, and 12 bronze medals. Meanwhile, Mongolia finished third with 2 gold medals.
