New Latvian ambassador presents credentials to FM Saidov

Latvian Ambassador Jaunzems Girts has presented his letters of credence to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov, the ministry reported.

At the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of relations and prospects for further strengthening bilateral ties.

“We expressed our readiness to further strengthen the long-standing relations between the two countries and to open up new opportunities for mutually beneficial cooperation both on a bilateral and regional scale,” the Minister said in a statement following the meeting.

Bakhtiyor Saidov warmly congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment and wished him success in his diplomatic mission in Uzbekistan.
