Tokayev to visit Uzbekistan
Kazakhstan’s president outlined his near-term agenda in his address to the nation.
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that he plans to visit several countries and deliver a speech at the United Nations General Assembly’s anniversary session in New York, Tengrinews reported.
In his address, Tokayev shared details about his upcoming engagements.
“By the end of the year, I will visit Russia and Uzbekistan. We are also preparing to host the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, and Turkmenistan in Astana. Meetings and negotiations with the heads of a number of Asian and European countries are also planned,” Tokayev said.
The president also confirmed that he will speak from the UN podium.
“In the near future, I plan to deliver a speech at the anniversary session of the General Assembly in New York, where I will present Kazakhstan’s view of the international situation, including proposals on reforming the United Nations,” he added.
