Ministry reports 14 cases of labor violations in cotton harvest season
Three officials were held accountable under Part 1 of Article 51 of the Administrative Liability Code for allowing the use of forced labor.

According to the Ministry of Employment, 14 cases of labor law violations were identified during the cotton harvest season, and administrative measures were applied against responsible officials.
In particular, 11 cases of labor law violations resulted in penalties under Article 49 of the Administrative Liability Code (Violation of labor legislation and occupational safety regulations).
Additionally, three officials faced action under Part 1 of Article 51 of the Administrative Liability Code (Administrative coercion to work) for allowing forced labor.
It was noted that during monitoring conducted from 10–20 September, practical assistance was provided in formalizing seasonal employment contracts with more than 300 pickers.
Earlier, the deputy governor of Sariosiyo district in Surkhandarya region for women’s affairs, Dilfuza Toshmatova, was fined UZS 20,600,000 for allowing forced labor during the cotton harvest season.
