Finnish President Alexander Stubb to visit Uzbekistan
President of Finland Alexander Stubb will pay an official visit to Uzbekistan on 30–31 October.

During the visit, Alexander Stubb will hold talks with the President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. The main topics of discussion will include the development of bilateral relations between Finland and Uzbekistan, the geopolitical situation, and its impact on Europe and Central Asia.
According to the statement, the presidents will also exchange views on issues related to international security, the situation around Ukraine, and ways to strengthen multilateral cooperation.
The visit program includes President Stubb’s participation in a business seminar, a lecture at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, and a meeting with foreign policy experts.
The Finnish head of state will be accompanied by Member of Parliament Ville Skinnari, who chairs the parliamentary friendship group with Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of Finnish business circles.
The last official visit by a Finnish president to Uzbekistan took place in 1992, when Mauno Koivisto visited the country.
