Cement imports drop sharply amid domestic production growth

This represents a sharp decline compared with the same period last year, when imports amounted to 548,100 tonnes – a decrease of 8.6 times.

During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported cement mainly from the following countries:

• Kazakhstan – 33,739 tonnes
• Iran – 31,218 tonnes
• Kyrgyzstan – 2,653 tonnes
• Tajikistan – 2,516 tonnes
• Russia – 1,152 tonnes
• Other countries – 755 tonnes
