Cement imports drop sharply amid domestic production growth
According to the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan imported 72,000 tonnes of cement from 13 foreign countries in January–September 2025, with a total value of $4.4 million.
This represents a sharp decline compared with the same period last year, when imports amounted to 548,100 tonnes – a decrease of 8.6 times.
During the reporting period, Uzbekistan imported cement mainly from the following countries:
- Kazakhstan – 33,739 tonnes
- Iran – 31,218 tonnes
- Kyrgyzstan – 2,653 tonnes
- Tajikistan – 2,516 tonnes
- Russia – 1,152 tonnes
- Other countries – 755 tonnes
