Tashkent hosts Central Asia – South Korea parliamentary speakers’ meeting
The third meeting of the heads of parliaments of Central Asian countries and South Korea is taking place in Tashkent.
In her address at the plenary session, Tanzila Narbaeva, Chairperson of the Senate of Oliy Majlis, noted that the meeting plays an important role in shaping new political dynamics and in strengthening inter-parliamentary trust and dialogue in the Central Asian region.
It was emphasized that in recent years, high-level dialogue among Central Asian countries has taken on a systematic character, reinforcing the region’s position on the global stage and establishing inter-parliamentary cooperation as a key foundation of this process.
In their remarks, the heads of delegations highlighted the importance of holding such meetings on a regular basis, stressing that this format has become an important platform for dialogue linking Central Asia and South Korea.
