President Mirziyoyev condemns attempted attack on Putin’s residence
President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev and President of Russia Vladimir Putin held a phone conversation, during which the Uzbek leader strongly condemned an attempted attack on the Russian president’s residence in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
The telephone talks took place on December 30. At the start of the conversation, Mirziyoyev denounced the attempted attack, stressing that such actions pose a threat to stability and security, including efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace.
The two leaders reviewed issues related to further developing Uzbekistan – Russia strategic partnership and alliance relations, with a focus on implementing agreements reached at the highest level.
The sides also exchanged views on pressing international and regional issues and discussed plans for upcoming engagements.
