Uzbekistan’s foreign trade hits $11.6 billion in early 2026 as imports surge
According to data from the National Statistics Committee, Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover saw significant activity during the first two months of 2026. The country’s total import volume reached $8.1 billion, representing a substantial growth of 29.8% compared to the same period in 2025. Meanwhile, export volume for the period was recorded at $3.5 billion.
Import trends and key partners
During this period, Uzbekistan imported goods and services from more than 135 countries. China and Russia remain the primary contributors to the country's supply chain, collectively accounting for over half of total imports.
The top ten importing partners (in USD) were:
- China: $2.8 billion
- Russia: $1.4 billion
- Kazakhstan: $677 million
- Republic of Korea: $306.1 million
- Turkey: $259.8 million
- Germany: $182.6 million
- India: $179.3 million
- Belarus: $144.3 million
- Turkmenistan: $121.5 million
- USA: $98.6 million
Export markets and destinations
On the export front, Russia emerged as the leading destination for Uzbek goods and services. The data also highlights a diverse geographical reach, with significant trade flowing to European markets like France and Ireland, alongside traditional regional partners.

- Russia: $679.4 million
- China: $382.2 million
- Afghanistan: $289.1 million
- France: $211.1 million
- Kazakhstan: $160.4 million
- Turkey: $154 million
- Kyrgyz Republic: $102.1 million
- UAE: $100 million
- Tajikistan: $94.2 million
- Ireland: $62.4 million
