Interpol facilitates extradition of three wanted suspects from UAE to Uzbekistan
Three individuals who were the subject of international search warrants have been detained abroad and extradited to Uzbekistan.
The operation was carried out with the support of the Interpol National Central Bureau (NCB) in Uzbekistan, according to the bureau's press service.
The suspects were placed on the international wanted list at the initiative of national law enforcement agencies. Two of the individuals are accused of committing large-scale fraud, while the third is facing charges related to human trafficking. Following the commission of these alleged crimes, the suspects had fled to the United Arab Emirates to evade prosecution.
The apprehension of the fugitives was made possible through targeted efforts by the Interpol NCB in Tashkent, in close cooperation with foreign partners and the activation of international search mechanisms. Working alongside the Interpol NCB in Abu Dhabi, authorities successfully located and detained all three suspects within the UAE.
The extradition process was completed based on special agreements and legal frameworks established between the Interpol bureaus in Tashkent and Abu Dhabi. Accompanied by Interpol officers, the suspects were transported to the Tashkent International Airport named after Islam Karimov to face legal proceedings.
