Traffic fines set to rise in Uzbekistan from September 1

Traffic violation fines across Uzbekistan are set for an upward adjustment starting September 1, following a scheduled increase in the country's base calculating amount (BCA).

The BCA, which serves as the index for determining taxes, state fees, duties, administrative fines, and public service charges, will rise by nearly 7 percent, shifting from the current UZS 412,000 to UZS 440,000. Because traffic penalties are legally tied to this financial index, the cost of traffic offenses will automatically climb at the same rate.

The previous adjustment to the economic indicator took place on August 1, 2025, when the BCA was raised from UZS 375,000 to UZS 412,000.
