The figures suggest that growing interest is increasingly translating into concrete travel plans. According to Uzbekistan's Tourism Committee, the number of travelers booking trips to the country through Expedia Group increased 45.6% compared with June last year, while airline ticket purchases rose 23% over the same period.

The United States, Japan, the United Kingdom, South Korea, Germany and France remained Uzbekistan's main source markets on Expedia Group's platforms. The strongest growth in demand was recorded in the United States and Japan, while the United Kingdom, Germany and France led the increase among European markets.

Within Uzbekistan, Tashkent, Samarkand and Bukhara continue to attract the largest number of visitors. At the same time, Khiva has been gaining momentum, with its share of total bookings increasing significantly over the past year, indicating rising interest in the historic city.

Preliminary booking data also points to sustained demand in the coming months. Trips scheduled for July through September 2026 account for 82.9% of all confirmed bookings, ahead of Uzbekistan's peak tourism season.

The latest figures build on a surge in international attention recorded during the FIFA World Cup. In June, authorities reported that online searches related to Uzbekistan had increased by 40% during the tournament, with the highest activity recorded during the national team's matches against Colombia and Portugal. Those matches also coincided with a rise in international media coverage of the country and increased searches for terms including "Visit Uzbekistan," "Travel Uzbekistan," and "Uzbekistan Tour."
