The project was presented to the president in January during discussions on Bukhara’s master plan. At the time, he called for cultural initiatives to be integrated with tourism development, made economically sustainable and supported by an effective management system.

The planned complex will also feature a reception center, an amphitheater with seating for 2,000 people, walking areas, craft centers and an artificial lake.

Its architecture will combine traditional local styles with modern design solutions. The project is intended to bring together Bukhara’s cultural and gastronomic heritage with contemporary tourism services in one location.

Construction of engineering and utility networks is currently underway across a 10-hectare section of the site, with around 50 pieces of heavy machinery involved.

According to project estimates, the center will create 2,000 jobs and attract an additional 2 million tourists to Bukhara annually. It is also expected to generate up to UZS 288 billion in revenue for the local budget.

Mirziyoyev instructed officials to create an environment worthy of Bukhara’s reputation and present the city’s rich heritage to the world more widely. He stressed that local residents should benefit from new employment opportunities and income generated by tourism.
