Under a presidential decree issued in December 2025, employees working a five-day week will have four consecutive days off from August 29 to September 1, while those on a six-day workweek will have three consecutive days off from August 30 to September 1.
The holiday schedule is as follows:
- August 29, Saturday – a regular working or non-working day, depending on the employee’s work schedule.
- August 30, Sunday – a regular day off.
- August 31, Monday – an additional non-working day for all employees.
- September 1, Tuesday – Independence Day, a public holiday.
- September 2, Wednesday – a regular working day for all employees.
The additional day off on August 31 applies to employees working both five-day and six-day schedules.
Uzbekistan will mark the 35th anniversary of its state independence this year. In April, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev approved a separate program of nationwide celebrations to commemorate the anniversary, with events planned across the country.
